The winner of this sweepstakes will receive a Wright & McGill ”Granger Special” bamboo fly rod, model no. GS-8642. The rod is 8’-6” long, 4pc./2 tips, for lines “F” (4L) or “HEH” (5DT), and weights 4.5 ounces. The rod comes with the original rod sock, original rod tube, and the shipping tube with a label that indicates the order date was 4-28-53. The cork handle still has the original plastic protective cover, and an information booklet is rubber-banded to the reel seat (the original rubber band has been replaced). The male ferrules appear to have been lightly used. There are no nicks or scratches in the rod varnish or on the reel seat.
