The next event is the Girl Scout Jamboree near Flagstaff. On Saturday, May 19, TU volunteers will teach fly tying and casting as an introduction to the STREAM Girl patch. Held at Camp Raymond near Flagstaff, this semi-annual Girl Scout event will kick off the summer camping season.
STREAM Girls & Summer Camp
The Cactus to Pine Girl Scout Council is promoting their summer camp sessions with exciting programs. April 7 was the Taste of Shadow Rim Weekend and girls from all over the state came for a weekend of sample classes and activities from the very large menu of events being offered this summer. Macroinvertebrate studies on Chase Creek were offered as a preview of the STREAM Girls patch. Over 100 girls, in groups of 12 to 20, explored the wonders of bugs!
