Proposed Delisting of Arizona’s State Fish: The Apache Trout

On August 10th of 2023 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced a proposal to remove the Apache Trout from the Endangered Species List.

Partners in Apache Trout conservation met at Ord Creek on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation where conservation of the species started in the 1950s.
